HAI*QPM ensures top quality for Delicia’s innovative operations

A-ware Food Group implements HAI*QPM software for new cheese plant

Zwijndrecht, 15 september 2011 –  Zwijndrecht, 15 september 2011 – Delicia implemented HAI*QPM, the successful real-time plant information system. It ensures steady top quality production for Delicia’s energetic and innovative operations. The HAI*QPM real-time information and performance metrics are used to support continuous improvement activities, decrease product loss and enable smarter & quicker product development.

Real-time (non-)conformance information in the plant

“What matters, is that we can identify any non-conformity in production in real-time.”, says Sjors Homminga, ad interim manager R&D at Delicia.

“The R&D and Quality Dept. spend much time on determining the specifications to ensure the best end-product quality.” He is referring to the specs for raw materials, intermediates and end-product, along with the process settings. “HAI*QPM helps us to monitor if we comply with these specs during every phase of production. This early warning system enables for instance operators to quickly respond to process deviations and prevent product loss.

HAI*QPM also supplies us with valuable information for continuous improvement and smart and rapid product development.”

Rapid, simple and effective

Delicia investigated various systems. HAI*QPM “won” because of its simple structure, rapid implementation and scalability. Homminga: “We started implementation in July and the system was ready to use by mid August.”
